The Transmuting In Everquest 2
Author:admin Date:8/27/2008 Source:http://www.wowgold800.com

Did you still play the game called Everquest 2? If you play this game day after day, I am sure you will know this news. The transmuting secondary profession allows your character to break down high quality magical items into usable essences that can be then applied to equipment in the form of adornments that power up your existing equipment.

Each crafting class can create adornments for different equipment slots, so all artisans demand what transmuting produces. Items above "treasured" in quality can be transmuted into its base arcane components. Hand-crafted items can't be transmuted, neither can many quest rewards - but the vast majority of drops that you find can be turned into base components. Only the items with the labels "Treasured", "Legendary", "MasterCrafted" and "Fabled" can be transmuted. It's often difficult to turn a profit with this tradeskill until you've already raised it to the cap, as the results that you get from the transmute rarely sell for as much as you'd be able to make by just selling the item to a vendor. The item that you transmute can, at most, be five levels above your current transmuting skill. You need to fully repair any item before you transmute it - many people get tripped up on this and are confused when they can't transmute something.

At the early skill levels, you will primarily raise your transmuting skill by breaking down items. Either get them yourself through drops, or buy them up in bulk on the broker to give you a steady supply of things to transmute. There's a chance that you'll get a rare component from every transmute that you make, and it's a good idea to hang on to these either to sell or to use for an adornment for yourself. You have about a 50% chance of skill gain from transmuting an equal level item, and it only goes up from there. As with tinkering, you always have a chance to skill up on an item that's gray to your skill level that bottoms at 25%. This means that you can skill up even with very low level items, although the results that you get from those will be far less valuable.

Many low level players forgo adornments because they are upgrading their gear so frequently, making low level adornments a slow market at best, chiefly catering to high level players trying to give their lower level alts a big boost. One method for reducing the cost of transmute upgrades is to go to newbie areas and harvest those resource nodes over and again, and then craft massive amounts of low level items yourself to use for transmuting skill upgrades. This is tedious, but it gets the job done for relatively little platinum.
