Do you like Level Sync in FFXI? When I asked, many players don't like it. But why? Let's listen to one of my friends:

"I'm a Dark Knight. If there is anyone who should be happy about this feature, it should be me. The last 3 times I logged on, thinking about maybe getting a party, I found myself one after 30 min of seeking. Two parties in Kazham and another one in Qufim. 
Durning those days I have been able to level from 56 -58 and I'm now only a few thousand exp away from my Haubergeon.
I do like to make progress in the game, it is not about that. But I do feel that something is missing. I don't have that same feeling of accomplishment that I used to have. I believe this to be because I don't feel like I'm actually working for my experience. Just today we partied in Galraige Citadel and we had a hard time finishing of our bats fast enough. What did we do?
We made the party leader change the level sync to a member two levels up.
Suddenly we where into that phase where everything is just right. Exp is good and mobs are weak.

I used to learn new things along the way. I was so exited when I finally got to change exp location from Valkrum to Qufim. Qufim to Kazham and so on.
I particulary remember my first days in Qufim, since they also came with my first trip to Jeuno.

Now all that is gone. I could get to Lv75 without ever leaving Valkrum. Without ever farming for that essencial piece of equipment or working my ass to skill up for that new weaponskill.

I'm sitting here in a party with my soon-to-be 58 DRK and actually wondering what level I will be when I first see Guillotine, if I don't go skilling up.I don't feel that strongly about gear either anymore.
People just show up in whatever and their stuff gets adjusted.
I partied with 3 people in AF here the other day. No one complained. Why would they? Armor 20 levels about your level can't be called gimped.

Just my thoughts on this matter. I like to level up as a DRK, but I feel that this game has lost something important."

How do you think? Do you like it? SE will definitely make some changes to it, I can see it coming. I predict a maximum amount of levels you can lower yourself...like maybe 15 or 20. One thing I don't like about level sync is that I think it made the XPing part of the game much more difficult on the people who just want to party the normal way. I went from 50-53 DRK in 5 days of partying (I make my own and don't want to sync unless I have friends that are much higher and want to pt). I now waste like 5 times more time looking for a tank because all the tanks at that level are mostly syncing down and partying elsewhere, or the tanks many levels above don't want to sync that low, and then after 3 hours of finally making a party, if the tank ends up needing to go the party is pretty much done, cause the chance of find another tank to replace them is pretty slim-to-none.
