Hunter's Best Profession
Author:admin Date:1/12/2009 Source:http://www.wowgold800.com

Love being a hunter? What’s the best profession for hunter? One of my friends asked to me: “I can never figure out which profession i want for my night elf hunter. can anyone give me some good ideas of anything that they have tried.”

I think Herbalism is a good money makers along with Mining but these can be a pain to do together since you can't detect both herbs and ore nodes at the same time, add-on's like Gatherer make this slightly easier - just do one day on each and it remembers where the nodes are and create a macro to switch between the two detections. Skinning and one of these may be an easier option. Herbalism also opens the opportunity to do something like Inscription or Alchemy which will provide some income from selling scrolls/glyphs (although this is starting to become less and less now since more people have it) or potions and elixirs that will sell but more importantly that you can use without cost - having lots of mana potions or health potions as well as extra Agility or Armour etc will come in Handy.

And Mining is a good opportunity to try your hand at Engineering which can be a lot of fun.  While you will find limited use for bombs and explosives you can get quirky PvP stuff like nets, some nice headgear, make your own bullets, scopes and guns and let's not forget the wonder that is the Motocycles and helicopters you can now make too and also a once-a-day portable mailbox. The other good thing about hunters learning Engineering is that you can learn goblin Jumper Cables which can sometimes bring a player back from the dead. Can be a good thing if you pop Feign Death just as a party is on wiping, then pop back up and use this on the healer and if you're lucky they will come back to life to rez the party.

There were many so dumb hunters too. When you were healing BRD the other day and the tank was marking and everything and telling the dps who to hit first. So what does this hunter do? Decides to pull his own. How do you think?

Don't be so angry with him. When you're fighting just normal creeps you can leave growl turned on and set your pet grab aggro. when running an instance where you have a tank there for a specific reason, to tank, then you don't want your pet interfearing and stealing aggro from the tank. in that situation, you wanna to turn your pet into a dps machine and allow him to inflict as much damage as possible without drawing aggro. two totally different scenarios more than anything, but i can understand why you might be confused. so again, when on your own, turn growl on, when grouped for a instance, turn growl off.

Back to profession for a hunter, it all depends on what you want out of proffessions and also what is appealing to you personally. While LW/Skinning are a natural choice for hunters looking to make their own armour, as has been said, to make anything worthwhile will take a lot of effort that will usually be all for nothing after your first few high level instances/raids.... happy hunting!
