The Warden Trait Set
Author:wowgold800 Date:11/19/2008 Source:http://www.wowgold800.com

The Warden is a very fun and powerful class, with a neat way of doing combat, and a wide suite of combat, noncombat and utility skills to draw upon. With all these choices, you going to want know all the options available for you, and all the traits you can build with a warden's skills.
If you've been paying attention you'll know what's next. The Warden also has three Trait Sets you can try: Way of the Spear, which focuses on spear and javelin skills; Way of the Shield, which focuses on shield gambits and healing-over-time effects; and Way of the Fist, which focuses on threat generation and damage-over-time effects.
Wardens won't see skill improvements, but they will see two new gambits. One removes Corruptions and the other speeds up attack time.
It is likely to say that Wardens won't have anything to use in the new Class Item slot at launch. This delay will allow Turbine's developers to come up with Class Items that benefit how players use the class. Down the road, the expectation is that their Class Items would add bonuses to power usage or threat generation.
In addition, as most of has have not played a Warden before, you might want to check out the original diary that covers the basics of the class.
Riding off the success of previous "Talent Trees" and "Career Mastery", LOTRO is improving its Trait system by basically ripping WAR off and adding "Trait Paths". Regardless of who created the system it works very well in the context of the game and gives every class a huge increase in versatility. Like in WAR there are 3 paths per class, and using traits of the same path will unlock skills and increase the power of certain aspects of your character (i.e dps, tanking, healing, pets, crowd control). There's not much more I can say, it is well implemented and works well, but isn’t very innovative. But then what MMO really is these days?
The combat system has been totally changed. I'm not big on the number crunching but from what I've gleaned on beta forums all resistances to damage types across the board have been decreased. Block/Parry/Evade (BPE) have all been capped somewhere between 25-35% which will negatively affect classes reliant on BPE like Guardians and Burglars. In game I noticed that my hunter was much more "squishy" and apparently all the other classes that are medium/light armor have been similarly affected. Though there has been a DPS increase across the board. Basically it will take a lot of getting used to, but it was created to make up for the increase in the level cap and future increases. However, as you can guess, may Burgs and Guards are pissed about the changes, but if you're just joining the game you won't notice anything because you never experienced the past combat system.
Trait Sets are more complicated than the little blurbs I have here and allow access to new skills and other abilities.
